Since you will be spending a lot of time travelling, apart from good sound quality don’t forget to consider the fact that the headphone will get through extensive wear and tear during its lifetime. So you should look for durability and build quality as quality headphones can last months to years without being damaged. In some headphones ear-cups, folding design, etc is fragile so better check for robust hinges else they might fall apart after some amount of usage. Aluminium body design headband is one you should look for as it shall provide both comfort and durability. Two quality headphones for travellers are Bose QuietComfort 15 and Sony MDRZX100.
