This is a plug-n-play modem with drivers for Win 9x, NT, and
Win 2000. It’s performance in terms of sustained connects and throughputs is
pretty good. We tried the modem with a number of ISPs on different telephone
lines across the country. The modem gave us sustained connects on all the
connections.

The
handshake time for the modem was quite long, sometimes as high as 25 seconds. We
got a maximum throughput of 3.22 kbps, which is very good. It comes with a
user-friendly manual, instructions on how to install, and detailed descriptions
of all the LED indicators.

The accompanying CD contains useful software such as
MediaRing Talk, Quick Time 4, Yahoo Messenger, BitWare for Windows, etc.
Considering its performance and additional features such as jacks for microphone
and speakers, the modem is a good buy. It comes with a two-year warranty for the
modem, and one year for the power adapter.
