New Update

This is a well-designed 14.1” monitor with elegant looks. It has two built-in stereo speakers placed just below the screen on the front. The back of the monitor is also well designed–the wires come out from a small cut in the cover, so there isn’t much clutter. To hold the monitor in place, you can use a swivel base or a stand, or wall-mount it.

It has an iKey button that automatically calibrates the monitor for frequency, color, and horizontal and vertical position settings. With two other buttons and a knob, it’s quite easy to change the monitor settings or the volume.

The monitor’s response time is 60ms while that of most LCD monitors is in the range of 40—50 ms. So this isn’t meant for watching movies or playing games. The FP450 has a 40-degree viewing angle–most LCD monitors only give 30 degrees on both sides. This becomes important when a group of people is trying to watch a presentation on the screen.

The FP 450 can be used by those who want sophisticated looks–like CEOs of companies. It can also be used in the reception area in offices, airlines and hotel lobbies. People who use a PC for long hours can also use this as it gives out lower radiation when compared to a conventional CRT monitor. It is priced at Rs 50,000 (local taxes and octroi extra).
