New Update

Placed the conventional way of a notebook and powered on, the screen came up inverted. But as soon as the screen was flipped over and the stylus pulled out, it made complete sense. After all it’s meant to be used as a tablet more than a notebook. If you do need to get back to what you are more used to, a little button on the side lets you change the orientation.

As a Tablet, it takes pen input and speech. As a notebook, it takes keyboard input. Training for speech did not take more than 10 mins. The only issue was that it was slow. After speaking a sentence, you have to pause and wait for it to be processed and then sent into the application being used, before you carry on dictating.Slower than even moderately fast single finger typing!

You write the way you normally would on paper. The experience is generally quite smooth, though this is also slow. Scribble what you want to write in the input area, and then wait for it to be processed. Once that is done, click send to application.

The Acer has a spill-proof keyboard with special vents on the side. There is even a cloth for cleaning
the screen and replacement tips for the stylus.

I would not recommend this to geeks and power users, as they may not be able to adjust that easily with writing and dictation but for an

executive on the move it would be  just right.
