A 600 VA offline UPS with two power outlets. Good regulation, though the unit tested was not able to do a full cold-start on battery. Optional software (not tested). Good value. Rs 11,950. Ranking: 4 (of 17 tested) Efficiency: 84% at 320 W Switchover time: 4.4 ms Backup time: 4 minutes |
Like the other leaders, the LT’s battery float
voltage too was outside the limits and its maximum output voltage was 245 V, 11 percent
above 220V. Bar this, the LT gave good performance and was able to cold start an
additional 250 VA load, providing 231 V when already on. However, it was unable to do a
total cold start (switch on from batteries without mains support). According to the
vendor, their new models now available, can do a total cold start. However, these were
unavailable at the time of review, and could not be rated.
On short circuiting, the unit survived with an overload
indication and began functioning normally when mains was restored.
