New Update

With campuses spread at different geographical locations all over the

country, the key idea behind this project was to optimize utilization of

resources and provide students studying in every Amity campus an equal

opportunity. For example, after the implementation of this project, Amity's

students in Jaipur campus can easily interact with industry domain expert

sitting in the Noida campus. On top of this, Amity IT team was able to create a

setup through which interactive sessions could be carried out over the Internet.

All the Amity campuses are connected via an MPLS network, each location

logged on e-Learning software as participant and the location where expert

faculty delivers the lecture logged in as presenter. For effective two-way

communication, the output at participant location can be in form of a PPT, video

(captured by web cam) and audio, and is displayed in the class room through an

LCD.

The presenter views all the participants locations through a multi camera

viewer on a single screen and can also listen through the Mic attached to these

cameras. Being an in house project, cost of implementation was minimum as

existing network and hardware resources were utilized. In future, Amity IT team

is looking to stream live classroom sessions on mobile devices like phones and

laptops that would help students to attend sessions even if they are at a remote

location.
