New Update

Mybuddy is a compact 7inch tablet. Its very light, weighs only 302g, and has smooth curved edges that make it easy to hold. The slim bezel has been wisely kept free of buttons and ports so they wouldn't have obstructed one's grip on it. Speaking of grip, the fine matte finish makes it smudge resistant and keeps it safe and stable in one's hands.

Its micro USB, power button, 3.5mm jack, micro SD slot and volume rocker are closely packed on the right side running from top bezel towards right bezel. The speaker is on the back panel while a front camera sits on top of the display.

It supports all popular video file formats

The800x 480p display though standard in this price category is bright and good looking. The UI is simple with has five modifiable home screens. Apps can be downloaded from Google Play and can be arranged on the home screens depending upon one's needs. The touch response is decent and quite similar to some good budget tabs. It supports HD video playback and is compatible with all file formats including mkv, which generally doesn't work on many budget tablets.

The speaker quality is pretty ordinary but in headsets you can enjoy media playback better. The games run well, but only the simple ones like Angry Birds and Temple Run 1. As we tried to play Ae 3D motor, and Cricket World championship it showed some delay like most budget tabs. Its 0.3mp front camera looks blurred and dark when used indoors, therefore to get good results out of it either you have to step outside or stand facing the light.

Its performance scores are good for a below 5k tablet

Its overall performance based on benchmark tests is good fro an entry level tablet. In Antutu performance test, it scored 3303 which is relatively good for a below 5k tablet and is higher than the scores of Akash 2 and Penta TPad 709. In An3Dbench and An3Dbench XL, for measuring graphics and animation capability, it scored 6232 and 20872 respectively. The scores are agreeable for a 4.4k tablet, as many 8-9k tablets have the same scores. Its Vellamo web browsing test score at 579 is lower than Akash 2 and other entry level tabs. As seen in majority budget tablets, there is no SIM slot and 3G is run with a USB dongle. So at least you can use 3G internet, instead of waiting for WiFi access for connectivity.

You can use it as a laptop substitute with ease

Typing is comfortable. It supports all your social networking apps and productivity tools like doc, ppt, xls, pdf etc. and has some ingrained apps for education and reading purpose like book chums where you can read free and paid ebooks. It has Google voice search which works well. Its battery back is good and lasted upto 3.30hours on uninterrupted online video streaming. Also, it doesn't have Bluetooth so the only way to transfer file is through USB.
