Norton antivirus has been winning the award almost every year ever since we started tracking it, so this year is no exception.

Norton Antivirus comes at the top with McAfee trailing way behind, with hardly any improvement in its UPI over last year.

Trend Micro is third, while CA barely manages to enter the club this year with its eTrust antivirus software. There were many other contenders in the list, including Grisoft, the company that gives out its personal antivirus edition for free.

Norton continues to enjoy the 90% brand loyalty that it enjoyed last year, only this time, the threat has slightly increased from McAfee. Around 6% of the people who voted for Norton say that they'd like to shift to McAfee for their next antivirus purchase. However, this is still not significant enough to worry about.

McAfee has strengthened its brand loyalty slightly, moving from 78% last year to 81% this year. In fact, the percentage of people who want to move to Norton from McAfee has also reduced slightly compared to last year. Trend Micro has significantly improved its brand loyalty over last year, with the percentage moving from 78% last year to around 90% this year. Looks like they've done some pretty serious work to retain their customers.

As far as support goes, Norton got the highest support from across India. There's stiff competition between McAfee and Trend Micro for the number two slot in North and South. In the East and West, McAfee has a strong lead over Trend Micro.

McAfee was the number one choice amongst the users in the BPO segment, while it fights it out with Trend Micro in the manufacturing segment. It's also a little weak in the communications and media segment, where Trend Micro takes the lead.

Norton anyways leads the pack amongst all industry verticals.

When we look at the voters according to their company size, we again found that Norton was the primary choice everywhere.

Those in companies with 50 to 100 crores turnover chose Trend Micro over McAfee. Everywhere else, the second highest

chunk of voters were in favor of McAfee.
