Apple Demos its Latest OS X Mavericks

Apple unveiled its new operating system for its PCs called OS X Mavericks. Among its many features, include a new calendar or iCloud Keychain. This safely stores your website login information, credit card numbers and Wi-Fi passwords, and pushes them to all of your devices so you don't need to remember them Apple also did a demo of Maps for OS X. A key feature of this map is that you can send your destination coordinates to your iPhone.

Apple has also announced the availability of iBooks, Apple's 1.8 million title online bookstore, on their new version of OS X, Mavericks. The new app will let you to read purchased books right from the desktop and purchase titles on the fly.

"The Mac has consistently outpaced the PC industry and OS X continues to be the most innovative and easy to use operating system in the world," said Craig Federighi, Apple's senior vice president of Software Engineering. "OS X Mavericks is our best version yet and features new Maps and iBooks apps, Finder Tags and Tabs, enhanced multi-display support, performance and energy saving features, and an all new Safari."

Apple has a new, California-Based naming convention starting with OS X Mavericks. The company was facing a big problem with the latest update to its Mac operating system, OS X. Having used names like Leopard, and Mountain Lion for its nine updates, Frederighi said the company was in danger of running out of cat names.
