Mark Gurman of Bloomberg claims that Apple intends to release a less expensive version of the headset and makes numerous predictions on how the firm can reduce its high price. This entails employing lower-resolution screens, a CPU that isn't as powerful as the Vision Pro's M2 (perhaps an iPhone- or older Mac-grade chip), fewer cameras, and a headband with less complexity.

He argues that Apple would not compromise on the eye- and hand-tracking systems or the Vision Pro's external "EyeSight" display. The chance of a less expensive Vision Star variation is uplifting news for any individual who finds that grand price tag inadmissible, yet the expected timing of such a headset's sendoff is a bummer. Gurman claims that Apple intends to introduce it "as early as the end of 2025."

According to reports, Apple is also developing a faster processor version of the Vision Pro that is expected to be no more expensive than the first model. This model's launch date is unknown, but the WWDC next year seems like a good time to introduce a more refined model.

Remarkably, Gurman claims that the Vision Expert genuinely is over the top expensive to create, with the $3,499 sticker price being "at or close to the expense to make it."

In the meantime, the Vision Pro is simply too expensive to appeal to a large number of people. It is also just the first step in Apple's multi-year strategy to dominate the augmented reality market.

At the WWDC 2023 event, the Vision Pro was introduced with cutting-edge features such as gesture controls and dual twin 4K microLED virtual reality displays. The device costs a hefty $3,499 (approximately 2.9 lahks), which has been criticized by experts and customers alike.
