Apple Releases the Second Public Beta of iOS 17

Three weeks after the first public beta, Apple released the second public beta of iOS 17. This comes just a week after Apple published iOS 17's fourth developer beta, which modified the icon layout in the Messaging app, deleted the Photo Stream function, and added a new setting in Settings to stop AirDrop transfer. Because of these software improvements, registered developers and public beta testers will be allowed to get the second iOS 17 beta version. Aside from iOS 17, Apple has also released public betas of iPadOS 17, tvOS 17, watchOS 10, macOS Sonoma, and HomePod software 17 to those who have signed up for the Apple Beta Software Programme.

As part of the Apple Beta Software Programme, the iOS 17 update will allow anyone to download public betas before everyone else and test new features on iPhones. Users may try the new features using the Input Assistant app and provide valuable input to Apple. Aside from that, iOS 17 includes numerous tweaks to the standby feature for presenting information in landscape mode and updates to the Phone, Messaging, and FaceTime applications.

Enhancements to Messages and FaceTime will also be noticed on Macs running macOS Sonoma. Regarding tvOS 17, the new version enables FaceTime on Apple TV for the first time. WatchOS 10 introduces a brand-new UI for Apple Watch apps.
