The Mac is perhaps as well known for its designs as for its computing. The first iMac heralded in a new line of designer computers. In its second coming, the new iMac looks like no other computer before.

Styled more like a table lamp than a computer, this is perhaps the first PC to be available only with a flat-panel display. The other specs are also on the higher side of what is available. Nvidia GE force 2 MX graphics card with 32 MB dedicated video memory, a choice of CD-RW or DVD-CD-RW or DVD-R-CD-RW drives, minimum 128 MD RAM and 40 GB hard disk, built-in modem, built-in network card, five USB and two Firewire ports, built-in speaker and microphone. The screen is a 15” active matrix one. All this on a 10.6” base, and weighing 9.6 kg.
