Apple is to release a new iPad with significant changes next year. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the new Apple iPad will include a MacBook-like Magic Keyboard to give users a laptop-like experience. This keyboard will probably have an aluminium top casing and a larger trackpad.
The Magic Keyboard: new iPad
Notably, the iPad's keyboard is prone to twisting and shredding over time. The Magic Keyboard will be structurally strong and have a luxury feel. According to the source, the external layer of the keyboard, like the existing ones, would have a rubber finish for more outstanding grip.
Even though Apple is employing different materials, the device's weight is projected to stay the same as the current models. However, the new metal is expensive, which could significantly increase prices. According to Gurman, the weight savings from switching to aluminium will be negligible. If Apple chooses to use more costly materials, the item's price may rise. Currently, the Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 11-inch costs Rs. 29,999, while the Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 12.9-inch costs Rs. 33,900.
The alleged Apple iPad will also receive a performance boost. According to reports, the new iPad will be powered by the Apple Silicon M3 processor and will have an OLED display with improved contrast and colour reproduction. This time around, the bezels may be thinner. It is projected to be lower in weight and to come in new colour variations. Like the impending iPhone 15, the iPad is expected to have a Type-C charging connection.
