Krafton has announced a partnership with Dragon Ball Super for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), their famous mobile battle royale application. This partnership will result in a gameplay revamp in BGMI, which has already been implemented in the revised 2.7 version.
The new update will include Dragon Ball Super-themed modes, goods, vehicles, and places, among other things. The most recent collaboration is one of the most significant in BGMI's history.
Dragon Ball Super-themed mode: Details
The first of two Dragon Ball Super modes will be played in the game from August 9th to October 9th and will feature Dragon Ball elements along with classic BGMI battle royale gameplay. This mode allows players to collect seven Dragon Balls to summon Shenron and present their wishes at Shenron's Summoning Altar for in-game rewards.
Players will have the opportunity to explore four new areas of Dragon Ball Super in Erangel, Livik and Sanhok. These areas are built to mimic the locations and architecture of the series. "Dragon Ball Village", "Tenkaichi Budokai", "Kame House" and "Karin Tower" all contain trophies that players can find.
In addition, players can throw the new "Hoipoi Capsule" to transform into a three-seater "Air Car" to travel around the battlefields. This update also has a "Ki" component, which is also an integral part of the Dragon Ball franchise.
Players can collect "Ki" as energy to improve mobility and use the "Kamehameha" beam to eliminate enemies and "Buku-jutsu (Levitation Technique)" to fly freely at running speed. When players run out of "Ki", they can eat scattered "Senzu Beans" to restore it along with health and energy.
Additionally, players who want an extra challenge should stay tuned for more information on the hidden Dragon More Trial. Here, players are tasked with finding seven dragon balls while their location is visible to other teams. To win the game, players must successfully secure the Dragon Balls, protect Sheron's Summoning Altar, and make a wish.
Dragon Ball Super Battle Royale
One of the two Dragon Ball Super modes brings a game changer in BGMI. It transforms the battlefields into a vibrant world of art from August 9th to October 9th. Players discard their traditional weapons and instead take on the role of one of the five Dragon Ball Super characters - Son Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Piccolo and Ultimate Gohan - and use their basic and support moves in battle and survive.
As part of this mode, players can collect spirit crystals and spirit crystals from the ground to restore energy and upgrade their moves, the highest of which is level 4, and use several new features such as teleport points and updrafts to travel and manipulate the map.
Dragon Ball Super themed clothing and items
The new BGMI update also offers Dragon Ball Super themed clothing and items coming on August 10th. It also includes special costumes featuring Son Goku, Vegeta, Frieza and companions Pilaf and Karin.
Players can follow BGMI's official social channels to learn more about the upcoming in-game event that will bring exclusive Dragon Ball Super rewards such as the "Kamesenni Style Set". This update also includes several new gameplay improvements, including improvements to World of Wonder's creative mode with a new customizable Summer Brawl game model and a new assault weapon, the ACE32, available on all maps.
Additionally, Season 13 of Cycle 5 has also been updated with new content, rewards and cosmetics. In addition, the latest Royale Pass Ace offers new core rewards along with seasonal quests. In addition, Krafton will soon announce a collaboration with the iconic British luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin.
