New Update

Champion Trendy 531 is the latest phablet device in the market that is meant for media consumption and acts as a perfect tablet alternative with its size. The phone is packed with the power of a 3200mAh battery and its 5.3-inch IPS display offers mid-range brightness with graphics detailing that's nowhere near the competition.

If we talk about design, it is slim and trendy like most smartphones, made-up with polycarbonate plastic with flip cover. The sound quality in headphones is very good but after using it for some days it shows some problem in the light sensor while calling. Moving to the 13 MP camera, the resulting pictures are merely average in any condition. Much to our surprise, the Trendy did not throw up any heating issues, however, the touch response while gaming did show some lag.

In terms of benchmark scores, the Champion Trendy 531 got 13243 on AnTuTu, 3990 on Quadrant, 38027 on An3dbench XL and 1452 on Vellamo. The same benchmarks on the Videocon A55 HD which we previously reviewed scored 13243 on AnTuTu, 4037 on Quadrant, 28296 on An3dbench XL and 1459 on Vellamo. The battery gave us an account for itself but looking at the size we expected more in terms of day-to-day life of the phablet.
