This photo printer has a number of interesting features. For one, its Camera Direct feature lets you directly connect a Canon camera or camcorder to the USB port and take prints. The printer also supports the new Exif Print standard for digital images. Another interesting feature is its multi-droplet print head. The head comes with two nozzles—2 pl and 5 pl —arranged alternately, to provide higher quality prints. The printer has a black cartridge and a color cartridge, containing the remaining (CMY) colors. So, even if it runs out of ink for even a single color, you’ll have to replace the entire cartridge. The ink capacity is approximately 300 pages for black and 160 pages for color
catridge.

The printer weighs 3.7 Kg and its paper in and out trays can easily be folded when not in use, thereby saving you valuable desktop real estate. It has a maximum rated print speed of 18 ppm mono and 12 ppm color. The printer gives a print speed of 8 ppm in draft mode and 7 ppm in normal mode, while the print speed for a text document with a color image in draft mode was found to be 6 ppm. This reduces to 3 ppm when printed in normal mode. It took 4 minutes and 30 seconds to print a full A4 sized color image in best mode without borders. However, there were no issues of print quality, whether it was line art, grayscale or color prints.
