You will find a secure print button on control panel, which is there to hold print jobs until a unique number is entered at the control panel. Also, there is unique user ID, which enables management to monitor usage and help limit costs and consumption. Control panel has lots of useful buttons with a 3.5" QVGA Colour LCD (320 x 240 pixels) display. Talking about the paper capacity, you will find an internal capacity of 300 sheets with an optional 250 sheets and 125 sheets of face down in output tray.

My observation about the performance of this MFP was very different from what was expected. Despite having 512 MB of shared memory, I found that the MFP was taking longer time for processing than usual, especially in case of B/W printing. My test cases included different sizes of two set of ISO pages (one for B/W and one for color). For color printing, I tried to record the first page out time for 4 different sets of pages, which included 1, 10, 20 and 30 pages for which, it took 25, 32, 33 and 33 seconds respectively. So, there is a kind of consistency in First printing output time (FPOT) in case of color pages which is about 30 seconds. And the total number of pages accounted in one minute was 14 which is a decent number. But, taking the same test cases for B/W pages, the results were 24, 32, 51 and 67 seconds. This clearly shows the buffer time consumption increases gradually with the increase of number of pages. We had only 4 pages in one minute but there were a total 27 pages in two minutes.

Meanwhile, the print quality was absolutely flawless with rich and natural colors and sharp and neat texts. Copying was a bit better than printing. First B/W copy out time recorded was 14 seconds with a total of 19 copies per minute, whereas for colors, it was 16 seconds for first copy output time (FCOT) and 17 cpm. Scanning took 11 seconds to completely scan a page and saving it to the computer. You will have the flexibility of scanning the output page to remote scanner, USB, SMB, address book, email, LDAP server and coded dial.
