Canon iRC3200

The highlight of the iRC3200 is that it is an affordable color laser based MFD with a print speed of 32 ppm for both color and monochrome prints. The scan speeds are 23 ppm and 36 ppm for color and B&W respectively. Also, maximum print and copy resolutions are 2400X600 dpi and 600X600 dpi respectively. The MFD has a 250 MHz Canon Custom Processor, 40 GB hard disk to store print jobs and scanned documents, 768 MB RAM and LAN connectivity. Optional DADF (Duplexing Automatic

Document Feeder) and Fax units can be attached as well.

The device has a Universal Send option, which allows you to send documents via the Internet, LAN, PSTN or as e-mail attachments. The features can be accessed through a colored LCD panel on the MFD or at the desktop using the supplied software and drivers or a Web browser. The mailbox feature gives users individual storage area for storing scanned or print documents. The mailboxes are password protected for security. For accounting, the administrator can monitor print and scanning usage and also set page limits for individual users or departments. To save space on the hard disk, the MFD uses a PDF compression priority function using which users can compress the capacity of color images to about 1/10th of the capacity.

Overall, the Canon Image Runner C3200 is a fast machine with lots of storage space and a host of useful features. The price seems to be reasonable and depends upon the configuration you take.
