Capgemini announces the launch of Tech Challenge 3.0, the third season of a unique online hackathon to identify the best technology experts in the country. The contest is targeted at IT professionals as well as campus students.

Tech Challenge 3.0 calls on the best programmers to participate in a Coding Challenge as well as a Skill Challenge in various niches technology themes such as Digital, I&D, Infrastructure Services, and Financial Services. The Digital challenges include Pega, Hybris, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), andSalesforce. The FS challenge comprises Blockchain while the I&D challenge will host Data Integration and Data Science.

Scientifically designed to identify the best, each challenge is divided into three levels with increasing complexity. Level 1 and Level 2 would help identify theTop Five in each theme, who would then battle it out on the day of the finale in the Level 3 physical hackathon – to be held at Capgemini Knowledge Park, Airoli on October 22. The finals will be streamed live across all social media channels, and techies from across India can contribute to the solutions put up by the contestants by posting tweets and using the hashtag #TechChallenge3.

Coding Challenge:

  • Level 1: Coding + Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
  • Level 2: Complex coding
  • Level 3: Live hackathon at Capgemini Knowledge Park in Mumbai. Top 5 coders from Level 2 will qualify for Level 3. Additionally, a Beat the Compiler (BTC) contest after Level 2 will help top 5 contestants of BTC to reach final Level 3. Finalists can use their social network to build the best solution.

Skill Challenge:

  • Level 1: MCQ
  • Level 2: MCQ + Coding (Java, Spring, Hibernate, JSP, Servlets, Apex, Solidity)
  • Level 3: Case Study + Coding Presentation. All finalists will be asked to form teams of five at the finale. There will be a total nine teams who will prepare solutions to real business problems.

The best team to win the Final Digital Challenge will take home INR 200,000. Theme winners get a cash prize of INR 30,000, while the first runner-up wins INR 20,000. The top two winners from outside Capgemini for each theme also get an assured direct interview with Capgemini India or an internship opportunity. There are other lucrative prizes to be won like the Best Campus Coder, Most Number of Referrals, Fastest Five to complete Level 2 for themes; etc.Prizes being given out in Tech Challenge 3.0 are worth INR 900,000 in total.

The previous seasons of Capgemini Tech Challenge garnered an overwhelming response from nearly 85,000 participants. The third edition of Tech Challenge promises to be even more power-packed and exciting. Registrations are open and Level 1 has been made live.
