Most of us 'Print Screen' when we need to capture screens. But this has some limitations, such as the inability to capture particular areas or stills from videos. With SnagIt, you can capture all images on your desktop, including very small areas, and edit, print and organize them-all at same time-just in $39.95.You can record a video of what's happening on the screen and e-mail screenshots directly. You can even create a Web page from the images captured from a website, using a simple wizard. The software can also capture text from various dialog boxes or screens and lets you paste it as text in a text editor than as an image. SnagIt comes with the SnagIt Editor and SnagIt Studio. While Editor lets you edit the captured images and text, you can use Studio to add arrows, callouts, etc to those images. However, you cannot edit the videos you create from SnagIt.Its Profiles feature lets you easily capture the screen using predefined instructions. We've used the trial version from their website.

This is the main SnagIt window. Select the 'The Entire Screen' option under 'Basic Capture Profiles' and click on Capture The window that was previously active will be captured and the image opened in the Editor. You can edit it and save it as one of the several standard image formats
Select 'All images from a website' profile and enter the URL. SnagIt captures all images and shows this summary Choose 'Record a video of the screen' profile. Click on Capture and then on Start for recording to an AVI file
