New Update

Century was planning to start a new data center for their upcoming studio in

Mumbai, where they faced many challenges like capital requirement. Century was

looking deeply into lowering its cost for this new data center and IT

infrastructure which consumers less power.

As bottom line was shrinking fast so some innovation was required. The biggest
technical challenge faced in going Green and for maximum impact was to design

complete end-to-end Green solution, and all products used in the solution had to

be green.

Leap 3 was started after the success of Leap 2 where Century identified, deviced,

evolved and mastered the blade technology to best suit its work-flow. In Leap 3,

Century focused mainly on Green technology. The entire project right from office

building to infrastructure was implemented using Green technology as the main

focus. The data center was designed giving full consideration to Green IT

requirements. Some of the benefits generated from Leap 3 till date have been

huge savings in terms of power, printing and paper costs, maintenance, running

costs etc. All this keeping in mind that the company does quality, efficient

work and does not add to the global warming issues by adding their part of e

waste to it. Monitoring and improvement of standards and working towards

achieving the Green working atmosphere in all departments have been the salient

features of this project.
