In today’s world, where large-screen smartphones have become the norm, a new smartphone with a tiny 2.45-inch screen has surfaced. Dubbed Jelly, the handset is claimed to be the world’s smallest 4G-enabled smartphone and is currently at the funding stage on Kickstarter website.

Jelly runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and can easily fit into one’s palm or in the coin pocket of jeans. Measuring 92.3mmx43mmx13.3mm, it is manufactured by Shanghai-based company Unihertz.

The company has plans to bring two models of the smartphone – Jelly and Jelly Pro. Both devices are powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB/2GB of RAM. They also include 16GB/32GB of internal storage.

The dual SIM smartphone sports a 2MP front camera, as well as an 8MP rear camera with LED flash. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The device also includes a G-sensor and compass. It comes with a 950mAh battery that’s claimed to deliver three days of battery backup.

Being an Android-powered smartphone, the Jelly can fully use all apps available on the Google Play Store. It’s available in Pearl White, Space Black and Sky Blue colour options. For now, the Jelly is priced at $59 and Jelly Pro is priced at $75.
