Computex 2014: Asus Refreshes its line-up with Next-gen Fonepad 8, MeMO Pad 7 and MeMO Pad 8

Asus has set the motions rolling at this year's Computex event in Taipei. The company has unveiled slew of devices aimed at both working professionals as well as home users. ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih exhibited the new Fonepad and MeMO Pad series of tablets that will be made available across markets in the coming months.

The Fonepad 8 is an Android tablet with large 8 inch IPS 1280×800 pixel display. It packs 1.8 GHz quad-core 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 processor, offers built-in 3G connectivity and dual-SIM phone functionality. This slim device, measuring only 5.06mm, offers larger viewing area than other 8 inch devices, about 72.2 percent screen-to-body ratio, according to the company. 

The other two tablets - MeMO Pad 7 and MeMO Pad 8, have 7 and 8 inch display respectively. The MeMO Pad 7 is powered by a 1.86 GHz 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 processor, has 5 MP rear camera and 2 MP front facing camera 

The MeMO Pad 8 tablet is powered by a 2.3 GHz 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor and has 8 inch IPS display of 1920×1200 pixel resolution protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. 

All three tablets run over Android 4.4 KitKat and come with ASUS's proprietary ZenUI which according to Asus, features over 1000 software enhancements.
