New Update

This PC from Connoi shares the top honors along with the system from NetKracker. It had a Celeron 800 MHz, 64 MB RAM, and a 7,200 rpm 20 GB hard drive (the fastest processor and hard drive in its group). Other features included a 15” monitor, a 52X CD-Rom drive, a 56 K modem, Typhoon speakers, and software including Windows 98 SE, games, multimedia CDs and an Internet account from Net4India. Only the absence of an Ethernet port kept it from getting a perfect score in features.

This great performer gets the top honors in our shootout

  • Pros: Great

performance, 7,200 rpm drive, 15” monitor
  • Cons: No Ethernet

    port
  • Performance/Price

    ratio: 7.7
  • Features: 90.2

Its faster processor and hard drive, helped it top the charts in performance. It however faced close competition from the NetKracker PC, which did very well because of its 128 MB of RAM. There was very little difference between the final scores of these two PCs. Due to its slightly higher price tag as compared to Net Kracker, it came in second in the performance to price ratio, with a score of 7.7 compared to 7.92 for the NetKracker PC. Overall, this along with the Netkracker ended up with 98 points, so both deserved to be winners.

This PC has everything you would want from an office PC and it performs very well too. Don’t forget to ask for an Ethernet card though.
