The coming month marks the launch of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) initiatives in India. To solemnize the event, C-DAC, is organizing an International Conference and Workshop on Web technologies, coinciding with the launch, during November 10-11, at Taj Palace, Delhi.

The objective of this conference is to create awareness about the futuristic developments in Web technologies amongst the Indian IT developer's community, researchers and institutions to leapfrog from technologies to products and services based on international standards. Eminent experts in the field of Web technology will be present too. Interaction with the experts will facilitate better understanding on common protocols and tech (specifications, guidelines, software, tools etc.) for interoperability. It will also pave the way for including regional inputs in the global standards and guidelines being evolved by W3C.
