The device can be used easily in an existing network to serve both wired and wireless clients and can also perform routing. It is targeted at homes and offices, and therefore also has a DHCP server built-in. The throughput tested by hand-timing a 50 MB folder with a collection of large and small files took about 177 seconds, which would result in a raw throughput of about 2.3 MBps on an average. The best part was that the throughput did not vary greatly with variation in signal strength.

You can configure the device only by using its Web-based interface, since other options like Telnet, RS232 are not there.

The device supports a firewall and 64/128-bit WEP encryption. You can specify which IP addresses you want to block or allow access to.
