Debjani Ghosh Set to Leave Intel India By End of March

Debjani Ghosh has announced that she will depart Intel at the end of March and pursue a career around Digital India.

Debjani Ghosh has announced that she will depart Intel at the end of March, a a decision she has been considering for some time.  She wants to help the country make progress on its vision of Digital India and has decided to devote more of her time and energy to this endeavour.  Debjani first started with Intel in 1996 and has held numerous leadership roles over her 21-year career here. Debjani has been the Managing Director for Intel in South Asia since 2012 and has led the country team through a tremendous transition and growth period. Debjani’s strong customer relationships, business acumen and her leadership in Digital India has been instrumental to our success in the country.

In her place, Prakash Mallya has been named the Managing Director for South Asia.  A 16-year veteran of the company, Prakash joined Intel in 2000 as Business Development Manager in India, responsible for the Financial Services segment. Over the years he has held several regional roles, most recently as Director for Intel’s Datacenter Group in Asia.  Prior to this he was Managing Director of Southeast Asia where he led all of Intel’s sales, marketing and the enablement of Intel products across Southeast Asia.  Prakash will begin his transition into the role immediately.
