Since this DFI motherboard, too, is based on the Intel 815 chipset, we tested

it in both our categories. An interesting point to note for this board were its

four DIMM slots, which could still take in a maximum of only 512 MB of RAM! With

four slots, one would have expected more. The board has an average set of

features in terms of connectors and slots, and doesn’t come with a good manual

or driver CD.

On the performance front, we did not find anything exciting in this board.

The scores were steadily average for all the entry-level benchmarks. Similar was

the case when we tested it out with the high-end configuration. It got just

below average scores in Indy 3D and High-end Winstone 99 and a similar trend

prevailed with VideoMark and 3D Winbench 2000. In the gaming benchmark, Quake

III Arena, the average fps was lower than most of others in the category. Even

with the normal productivity applications that run in Business Winstone 99, the

score was lesser than many others.

Priced at Rs 6,250, it is also expensive compared to other motherboards with

better features and performance. In short, not a good choice to make.
