Enterprise printing has taken a completely different meaning for enterprises
today. It goes beyond buying basic printers for your organization to outsourcing
your complete printing requirement. In this market, you don't need to guess who
the market leader is. HP continues its winning streak, remaining at the number
one position by a wide margin. On the relative future readiness index, if HP is
moving at a speed of 100, then the next best contender, Canon, is moving at 11.
Interestingly, Xerox didn't make it to the Users' Choice club this year, and
Samsung has come in its place. Not only that, but Samsung has entered as the
most persuasive brand of the lot, followed by Canon and finally HP. The same
order remains in the brand pull index as well.
This is bound to happen considering that HP has the largest user base, and
others are likely to eat into it. HP does enjoy the highest brand loyalty at
63%. However, this is down from 93% last year. Canon's brand loyalty is also
down from 67% last year to 50% this year. Moreover, 21% of existing Canon users
said that they're likely to switch to HP in the next three months. Samsung has a
brand loyalty of 46%, i.e. existing users who prefer to continue using it in the
future also. 38% of Samsung's existing users said that they're likely to shift
to other brands. These include Canon, Xerox, and HP.
