Epson ME Office 960FWD

Epson ME Office 960FWD is an All-in-One Inkjet Printer, which allows you to print, copy, fax and scan; that means for a small office it suffices all the requirements. It's paper tray can hold up to 250 pages. It has a key panel with 2.5 inches color LCD screen. Using this panel, you can scan the documents, make a copy and also crop the images for the printout. Through the same control panel, you can configure the printer settings like IP, Wi-Fi, etc. Epson ME Office 960FWD also supports printing from external USB flash drive and memory card. You can take the printout from the same using the key panel; you don't have to use the computer.

We installed the printer on a Windows 7 (32-bit) machine with 40 GB of HDD and 1GB of RAM. Installation was quite easy. Before the installation, we assigned an IP address to the printer through the control panel, so detection and hooking up with Wi-Fi connection was easy. After the installation was completed, we took printouts on A4 size paper and used fast economy mode when the printer was connected to the computer over Wi-Fi. A page containing text only took 7 seconds in printing. To check the speed of the printing, we printed 30 pages and it took 1 min 50 sec to print these pages. It also supports duplexing mode and it took 3 min 24 sec to print the same 30 page. Then we tried to print a full page coloured image which took 1 min 36 seconds in best photo mode. Page containing text and image took 8 seconds. Quality of the image and the text was quite clear

Bottomline: At this price range, this multi-function printer is a good choice for SOHO or organizational departments.
