Epson Stylus C82 is a fast printer with 15 ppm (though slower than the rated 22ppm by Epson) for A4 text, economy mode.

But color prints aren’t so fast. In fact, photo-quality print of an A4 page color graphic on photo-paper moved slowly at about 9 minutes per page. And a good 16 minutes when printed using Epson’s RPM (Resolution Performance Management) technology, which is meant to improve print quality on select media like photo paper. These color photo prints are very good and you can get up to 5760 dpi resolution with the printer.

The printer comes with Durabrite ink, claimed to be fully waterproof, providing fade resistance for up to 70 years, and 4 separate cartridges, cyan, magenta, yellow and black. So you can replace whichever gets exhausted instead of getting a full new color cartridge. This can save you some money.

Talking about costs, each black page costs around Rs 1.12 and color page costs around Rs 4.42. You can save some money printing plain text, black pages in this printer as compared to the Epson C61, which we had reviewed few months back, for which the cost per page for black was Rs 2.40 but which costs about Rs 4000 less than this printer.
