Flipkart enters Tablet space with budget Digitflip Pro XT712

Flipkart has stepped into smart device market with Digitflip Pro XT712, the first tablet to be sold in India under its own brand. The Bangalore-based online retailer which recently acquired e-commerce portal Myntra is spreading its reach to electronic market with its Digiflip range.

Digiflip Pro XT712 has a 7-inch (1280X800) IPS display, a 5 megapixel rear camera with flash. A 2 megapixel camera is also provided on the front.

The 3G tablet runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and packs a 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor along with 1GB of RAM. It comes with an internal memory of 16 GB that can be expandable up to 32Gb with microSD card. Packed with a 3000mAh battery, the Digiflip Pro XT712 comes with a 30-day replacement policy and 1 year of warranty.

The tablet with a metallic body also comes with shopping benefits worth Rs 5000 and free ebooks over Rs 2000 from Flipkart. Customers can avail these benefits by shopping from the Flipkart mobile app that comes pre-installed on the tablet. As part of its initial offer, Flipkart also announces one month trial subscription of its Flipkart First service to the buyers of its new tablet.

After successfully bringing Motorola Moto E to India, Flipkart is looking to make merry in the lucrative budget tablet space which features prominent names like Google Nexus, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Asus and Lenovo among others.
