Gionee gives its customers early festive cheer

With the nation gearing for the upcoming festivities, Gionee India announced a special discount on its flagship device A1. The selfie + battery focused A1 now has a price discounting of INR 3,000 for customers ahead of the festive season, furthering the brand’s pledge to add cheers amongst its users.

The phone originally priced at INR 19,999 can now be purchased at INR 16,999 across the country.

Celebrations don’t stop at the discount, customers who would activate A1 on Jio network for 1st time with a recharge of Rs 309 or above will be entitled with additional 60 GB Jio 4G data. Each customer will get this additional data benefit on 6 recharges of Rs. 309 or above. Additionally, Gionee has associated with Paytm which allows customers to get 2 Paytm cash back Vouchers worth INR 250. Each voucher will ensure INR 250 cash back into the Customer Paytm wallet on a minimum purchase of INR 350 from Paytm Mall.

A1 features a stunning 16MP front camera and 13MP rear camera with F2.0 lens and dual tone flash technology. The phone is powered by MediaTek P10 processor and 4GB RAM. Equipped with 4010 mAh battery with fast charging feature. There is also 64GB internal storage and offers an expandable memory upto 256 GB. The A1 features a 5.5-inch screen with AMOLED panel and 1080P resolution.

The phone flaunts a full HD display and carries off a premium look due to the layer of curved glass on top of the screen. It sports a full-metal body design and has a front mounted fingerprint sensor. Also, A1 is one of the first phones from Gionee to be installed with Android 7.0 Nougat.

Starting from the pre – booking of A1 which witnessed 74,682 pre-orders worth INR 150 Cr in the first ten days, the A1 has been a winner all the way. This provides an added impetus to the customers this festive season to purchase the A1 at the discounted price.

The launch of A1 – Gionee’s first flagship device of the year has been monumental in Gionee’s growth in the current year. The brand has secured 15% market share in the price segment of INR 18,000-20,000, owing to the soaring sales for the device. This success for A1 can be attributed to the affirmative Super Battery + Super Selfie experience and the colossal campaignsrevolving around the phone featuring brand ambassadors Alia Bhatt and Virat Kohli.
