Gionee launches world's slimmest Dual-SIM 4G smartphone Elife S7 in India at Rs. 24,999

Gionee has launched their latest flagship smartphone- the Elife S7 in Indian market at a price of Rs. 24,999. With the 5.5 mm thiickness, S7 is the thinnest 4G enabled smartphone in the world. The smartphone was first showcased in MWC last year.

Here we give you the first look of the smartphone directly from the launch event.

The smartphone features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The screen is sharp and displays vivid colours because of the AMOLED technology. Interestingly, the smartphone back is also protected by Gorilla Glass 3, which will protect it from unwanted scratches and accidental damages.

Under the hood is a 1.7 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6752 64-bit processor with a support of 2GB RAM to handle multitasking. We ran multiple applications simultaneously to check the processing speed and it handled everything without any issues.

S7 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Amigo 3.0 UI on top which includes various themes to give your smartphone a whole new look.

Talking about the design, the smartphone is 5.5 mm thick and is made of aircraft grade Al-Mg alloy frame. It felt very light in hand and the all glass and aluminium design looks quite premium.

The back of the smartphone houses a 13 MP camera with various modes and filters. The front is equipped with an 8 MP shooter. The camera is equipped with various modes and filters so that you can give your pictures a professional look.

S7 is the first ultra slim phone that supports dual SIM, multi-band and multi-mode such as 4G FDD/TDD LTE and 3G WCDMA.

The company said that the S7 includes a Hi-Fi level headphone that offer superior sound quality with instinctive Hi-Fi standard sound system. It also features sound restorations system to bring a home theater system experience to an ultra slim phone.

The Gionee Elife S7 comes in White, Black and Blue colors and is priced at Rs. 24,999 in India. The smartphone will be sold by the retail chains throughout the country. We will give you the complete review of the smartphone in the coming week.
