A new Website–www.koolmaal.com–is a platform for auctioning products on the Net. You can place products for sale with the details and pricing once you have registered. There are more than 32 categories of products to choose from–watches, clothes, books and magazines, cellphones, and lots more. As a seller, you have a choice of keeping your product on the Net for a specific period of time. 

The site works like any auction in the real world. A wide variety of products are displayed with a base price. If you’re interested in buying the product, you can bid for it by quoting a higher price. You can also quote a lower price but it’s up to the seller to accept it. After you bid, you have to give your personal details like e-mail ID, name, address, bid amount, etc, so that the seller can contact you if he’s interested in selling the product to you.

Koolmaal also maintains a database of the products being sold. No fee is charged either from the seller or the buyer. You can also buy and sell services from the site. The procedure is same as that for products. 

Koolmaal also has a Celebrity section where a celebrity auctions his or her staff. The product goes to the highest bidder, and the proceeds of the sale go to Helpage India as charity.

Future plans include online chat where buyers and sellers could directly interact during a transaction.
