New Update

The popular Internet Company has taken its Earth experience to a different level-underwater. Google Earth's latest version, 1.1, for Android includes features that will let you look around into larger water bodies.

Earth first went underwater last year in collaboration with National Geographic. This is an attempt to recreate a Street View underwater. The new feature highlights surf spots, shipwrecks, corals and marine research. “The latest version of Google Earth for Android also introduces the “Explore the Ocean” layer, which features hundreds of photos and videos from more than 100 contributors who are excited to share their stories of the sea. Plan or get a sneak peek of your next vacation during your daily commute by clicking on any of the little blue icons,” said Google product manager Jenifer Austin Foulkes. Andorid device holders can get the app by using the QR code on the Google blog at http://google-latlong.blogspot.com/2010/08/dive-into-ocean-with-google-earth-for.html and start exploring.
