Google Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 goes live on Google Play Store India

LG and Google have started selling their Nexus 5 smartphone in the Indian market via online as well as offline channels. The powerful smartphone was previously listed as Coming Soon across all platforms and now the day has finally come when eager consumers can get their own unit of Nexus 5. Priced at Rs 28,999 for 16 GB and Rs 32,999 for 32 GB variants by Google and Rs 29,999 and 33,999 by LG, the Nexus 5 is an improvement on the Nexus 4 smartphone and competes with the flagship models of varied brands.

Built by LG, the Nexus 5 sports a 5 inch full HD display packed with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and the latest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. The lightweight device is loaded with a 2300 mAh battery and fitted with an 8 MP rear camera and 1.3 MP front shooter for video calling and selfies. The phone packs Snapdragon 800 CPU and 2 GB RAM for power.

Not only has Google started Nexus 5 smartphone but the Asus-made Nexus 7 2013 is also available in India. Priced at Rs 20,990 for 16 GB model, Google Nexus 7 comes in streamlined form factor and weighs lighter than the first version at 299 grams. The display comes fitted with Corning Glass and resolution of 1920x1080 pixels that is defined as full-high definition.

Under the hood, the Nexus 7 packs a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor and a bigger 2 GB RAM to supplement high-end gaming, multi-tasking. The tablet also gets dual-stereo speakers, dual-facing cameras and longer battery life. The 32 GB variant is priced at Rs 23,999 while the LTE version costs Rs 27,999.
