According to Google, the grammar checker will determine "whether a phrase or sentence is written in a grammatically correct manner or how to correct it, if not." The functionality is now "only available in English."

How does it work in the search bar?

Simply enter a phrase or phrase with the words "grammar checker", "check grammar" or "grammar checker" into the search. You don't always have to include it at the end of the query, which makes for a smoother user experience, but it makes sure that Google activates the tool every time.

If there are no problems, the first result will show a green tick in the "Grammar check" section/tab. Otherwise, Google will rewrite the sentence and underline what it changed. This tool also corrects typos. Hover over the pinned version to display the "Copy" button.

Google grammar check Details

Behind the scenes, Google uses artificial intelligence systems to analyze language. The company warns that grammar checks "may not be 100% accurate, especially for partial sentences," so it's best to avoid sentences. Gmail and Google Docs have offered spell and grammar checkers for several years but adding it to search is pretty outstanding.

If you find a problem, you can click the "Feedback" button in the lower right corner to choose: This is helpful, this is not important, the recommendation is wrong or the recommendation is offensive and provide comments/suggestions.

Grammar checks are not performed "if the content may violate the general rules of Google search or the rules of their search functions". This includes streams that are dangerous, medicinal in nature, or contain foul language and profanity.

A support document for this feature was also released for the first time late last month. It joins other built-in Google search utilities like Quick Test, Color Picker, Spinner, Meditation, Calculator, Coin Toss, Dice Roll and Metronome.

Google suggests activating Enhanced Safe Browsing feature

Meanwhile, Google is recommending users to activate its Enhanced Safe Browsing feature via a slew of Gmail notifications that continue to appear even after you acknowledge them. Enhanced Safe Browsing was introduced in 2007 as an enhancement to Google's basic Safe Browsing function, which alerts users when they visit known phishing and malware sites.
