This PC is based on a P4 2 GHz processor and an Intel 850 chipset-based motherboard. It has sound and Ethernet onboard, three PCI slots (one of these is occupied by a three-port FireWire card), four USB ports for external peripherals like scanners and

webcams.

To test it for 3D graphics and gaming capabilities, we ran 3D Winbench 2000, in which it got an overall frame rate of 32.4. This is not a particularly high score but should suffice the needs of most gamers. In Quake III Arena it got respectable frame rates at lower resolutions, which fell to 28 fps at 1024x768x32. This is due to the Galaxy Geforce2MX card with 32 MB VRAM (an entry-level gamers card). A better AGP card would have done wonders.

To test it for regular productivity, we used BW 2001, where it got a score of 44.4. For high-end, we got a score of 51.8 using CCW 2001. Both are very good results. At Rs 60,000 it’s expensive for its average graphics and gaming performance.
