This is a product category that did not even exist three years back. We did include it in our survey last year, but the respondents were far too low for it to make the cut in the list of shortlisted categories. This year though, we were pretty confident about getting a good response owing to the surge of tablet sales in the past one year.

In the 100-499 employees segment, we see Apple ruling the roost with Samsung as the closest competitor, but lagging by as much as 18% behind Apple. Lenovo and HCL claim the third and fourth spots respectively, and both these brands can be seen having a cut-throat competition to oust each other from the third spot.

However in the 500+ employees segment, we see a cut throat competition between Samsung and Apple, with the former claiming the number one spot but the latter only 3% behind. Lenovo is clearly slotted at the number three spot, with HCL behind it by a whopping 42%.

When it comes to brand loyalty, Apple seems to be the favorite of the lot with only 20% & 6% opting to shift to another brand in the 100-499 and 500+ segments respectively. While Samsung users seem to be more discontent with the brand, 27% having conveyed their desire to move to a different brand (with a small bunch preferring Apple as their future brand) in the 100-499 segment. Samsung also recorded 26% future shift in the 500+ segment. Following very close behind is Lenovo with 25% opting a shift in the 100-499 segment. However, in the 500+ segment, none of the users have mentioned any desire to change their current brand. HCL seems to have taken the hardest blow, with 1/3rd of its current users opting to move to a different brand (with a major chunk wanting to move to Apple) in the 100-499 segment and a whopping 43% in the 500+ segment expressing the desire for a brand shift.
