The Problem: Hitachi Consulting handles terabytes of customer information that is very sensitive and prone to data theft. The Solution: Symantec's DLP solution was adopted to provide comprehensive security and increase Hitachi Consulting's ability to manage risks and become a highly secure & compliant workplace environment. The DLP provides real-time monitoring of the information that is being transmitted out of the corporate network. Hence, if any file/data is filtered as being "private" or sensitive to company policy, then a flag is immediately raised and alerts sent.

The Result: The tool has helped to monitor critical customer data leaving and entering the company systems. Compliance in terms of security requirements in the workplace has also been ensured because of the DLP solution.
