Chinese technology firm Honor is returning in the Indian market, promising a "new era of innovation." The company has officially confirmed it through a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), hinting at an imminent update.

Honor Comments on the launch

Hllo! for a new era of innovation. Stay tuned for more updates," Honor Tech tweeted. Former Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth retweeted the post with the caption, "What's cooking  @HonorTechIndia? Stay tuned." Speculations have been rife that Honor is gearing up to return to the Indian smartphone scene with a brand new device.

Is Honor planning to make a comeback in India anytime soon?

According to an earlier report by The Economic Times, Honor, which used to be a subsidiary of Huawei, will relaunch its phones in the Indian market in August. An IANS report earlier revealed that several Realme employees  have joined Honor Tech. Earlier speculations suggested that  former Realme CEO Madhav Sheth could lead Honor's operations in India. With Madhav's latest post, the rumor seems to have stopped now.

Although the exact launch date is not known, popular YouTube personality Gaurav Chaudhary, also known as Technical Guruji, hints at the launch of the Honor 90 to Indian customers in September.

Honor 90 launched in China

Having already debuted in the Chinese market, the Honor 90 is priced at Rs 28,700 (approx.). The version released in China called the Honor 90 offers a robust camera setup that includes a 200-megapixel wide-angle lens and two more sensors on the rear panel.  The device has a beautifully curved 6.7-inch AMOLED screen and a large storage option that offers up to 512 GB. It runs on MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13.

Other features include Bluetooth 5.2, NFC capability, Type-C port and a 5,000mAh battery that supports  66W fast charging. Also, no details about the  price of the smartphone in India have been revealed yet.

What would be the expectation for Honor 90 Indian variant?

The Indian variant of the Honor 90 is expected to share similar specifications with its global counterparts. The smartphone is available in four attractive colors: Peacock Blue, Diamond Silver, Midnight and Emerald Green. Indian customers can also have the option of opting for the emerald, green variant.
