Honor abandoned the Indian smartphone market following India's ban on Huawei handsets due to continuing tensions between India and China. While Honor continues to offer tablets, accessories, and computers in the nation, the firm discontinued its smartphone operations in the country some time ago.

In 2020, Huawei sold Honor to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co. Ltd., which has since operated as an independent tech firm in numerous regions. PSAV Global secured a licence to sell many Honor items in India, and according to sources, the same business has now obtained the rights to sell Honor smartphones in India.

Honor 90: a mid-range handset

According to rumours, the Honor 90, a mid-range handset powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, would be announced as the company's return smartphone in August/September.

The Honor 90 phone features a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED screen, a triple camera arrangement with a 200 MP camera, a 5,000 mAh battery, and Android 13 with MagicOS 7.1. The corporation will likely make an official statement about this in the coming days.
