HTC brings Desire 616 and One E8 to India, priced at Rs 16,900 and Rs 34,900 respectively

Taiwanese tech major HTC announced two new dual-sim smartphones Desire 616 and HTC One E8 in Indian market. The HTC One E8 is an affordable version of the their flagship model HTC One M8 which was launched recently in India. E8 has a 5 inch full HD screen, comes in a polycarbonate body and is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon 801 processor. The dual-sim phone has a 2GB RAM and houses a 2600 mAh battery. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 6 UI running on top. The back of the phone is home to a 13 MP shooter and a 5 MP camera is provided on front for people who love to click selfies. HTC One E8 has a 16 GB inbuilt storage and can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card.

HTC Desire 616 on the other hand is a mid- range smartphone which is the first phone from HTC that has an octa-core Mediatek processor clocked at 1.4 GHz with 1 GB RAM on board. The phone comes with 4GB inbuilt memory and is expandable up-to 32 GB via microSD card. It has a 5 inch HD screen and is backed up by a 2000 mAh battery. Desire 616 is priced at Rs 16,990.

Both the phones has HTC Blinkfeed technology, HTC One E8 has boom speakers on front while Desire 616 has a speaker on the back side.

Desire 616 will be available at all retail stores from tommorrow and HTC One E8 will be available from end of July.
