HTC Unveils HTC DESIRE 210 at Rs 8,700

Apart from confirming the price and availability of the HTC One (M8) smartphone, the Taiwanese smartphone maker has also has launched new affordable budget phone HTC Desire 210 and Desire 218 at the cost of Rs8,700 for Indian consumers.

The HTC Desire 210 Dual SIM runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with company's Sense UI on top. It comes with a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) display. As the name suggests, it is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device and supports one Micro-SIM and another regular SIM size.

It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core MediaTek (MT6572M) processor alongside 512MB of RAM. The Desire 210 Dual SIM sports 5-megapixel rear camera, while also houses a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

The smartphone offers 4GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, EDGE/GPRS and 3G. The phone is backed by a 1300mAh battery.

The HTC Desire 816, on the other hand, comes with a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixel) display and is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, alongside 1.5GB of RAM. It includes 8GB of inbuilt storage with support for microSD cards up to 128GB. It sports a 13-megapixel f/2.2 rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

It will also offer HTC's BlinkFeed and Video Highlights features.

The phone will be available on May 2nd, in Stealth Black and Polar White colours. It will ship with a free flip cover.
