iBall extends its Andi series with the launch of Andi 4a Projector – world’s first 35 lumen projector smartphone. In terms of looks, it is not different from other mobile phones. it’s a bit heavy, weighing around 162 grams where as its competitor Samsung Galaxy beam weighs 145.3 grams. Also, since the entire projector is housed into the handset, it is not among the thinner phones in the market. but still we feel that the size and weight is pretty manageable. Andi 4a is a dual SIM phone that comes with a 4-inch screen making it one of the smaller screened devices in the market. The device has usual set of connectivity features including 3G, Wi-Fi, bluetooth, and GPS. As a smartphone usability, we can say that this device is pretty average as you won’t see anything extraordinary, but as the USP of this device is projector, so just by using the iball projector app you can turn on the projector. Its DLP projector is capable of projecting content from the phone at 35 lumens in vGA (640 x 480 pixels) resolution, and has a contrast ratio of 1200:1. You can project a 120 inches wide image from a distance of 8 meters. The phone from a distance of 8 meters. The phone doesn’t come with any software to adjust the focus; one needs to rely on hardware focus controller ring on the left side of the phone. We feel that the projection from this device is very bright and impressive. The 1500 mAh Lithium-Ion battery gives you about 5-6 hours of battery life with all kind of usage.
