IFFCO-TOKIO General Insurance Co - eMarine

The Problem: In marine insurance customers can take a Marine Open Policy for a specified period or total sum insured and then utilize the policy for various shipments as and when they occur. Accordingly certificates are created against the Marine Open Policy (MOP) for each shipment. These certificates were issued manually by branch offices. However customer had to wait for couple of days to get the certificate.

The Solution: eMarine is a web-based application which enables customers and branch office users to create certificates online. eMarine application, was developed, deployed and is maintained in house. There is no specific software/hardware setup requirement at client end and the application could be accessed over Internet.

The Result: Certificates are provided as PDF documents, which are generated dynamically based on the data for the case. eMarine also provides feature, to obtain certificates dynamically with some special conditions mentioned on the certificate. The application is integrated with Document Management System to store all the certificates in repository, which are available to customers for reprint/view.
