Infinix Smart 8 Set to Launch in India on January 13, Most Affordable Phone with 50MP Camera

Following the release of Smart 8 HD last month, Infinix has now officially announced the release of Smart 8, the company's upcoming low-cost smartphone in the Smart series. The Indian version of the product features a 50MP back camera, but the worldwide variant has a 13MP camera.

The phone will have a 6.6 HD+ display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, an interactive magic ring, and a 50 MP back camera with an AI lens. It will also be powered by a Unisoc T606 SoC with 4GB of RAM and an extra 4GB of virtual RAM. The business has emphasized the features of AR shots and portrait mode.

Infinix Smart 8 Specifications

The Infinix Smart 8 has a 6.6-inch punch-hole LCD panel. The screen resolution is HD+ and the refresh rate is 90 Hz. It also supports an interactive Magic Ring that displays notification animations on both sides of the hole.

The company claims that the Smart 8 is the first smartphone in the segment to have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

It is also the first smartphone in its price segment to feature an 8-megapixel selfie camera with LED flash and a 50-megapixel primary camera on the back. The phone supports camera features like portrait mode and AR image.

The phone has a ring LED flash on the back, an 8-megapixel camera with flash on the front, which is a first in the segment, the company said.

It runs on Android 13 and XOS 13. The phone has a side fingerprint sensor and a 5000mAh battery.

Infinix Smart 8 Price in India

As I recall, the Infinix Smart 8 HD (Portable) is available in India for Rs 6299 (~$75). As for the Smart 8, the brand has officially announced that it will be offered under Rs 7,000.

The smartphone is available in four color options: Rainbow Blue, Shiny Gold, Wood Black and Galaxy White.
