New Update

Ingenico, worldwide provider of payment solutions, joined hands with MRL PosNET, an Indian merchant services company, for launching India's first Line Encryption solution on a POS Terminal. This novel effort is aimed at delivering a secure, innovative, efficient and light-weight POS application that can encrypt POS messages across different communication channels such as DSL broadband, Cable modem broad band, Data enabled GPRS SIM or Data enabled CMDA fixed wireless phones. MRL PosNET plans to rollout 25.000 POS terminals with Ingenico during 2011 using this unique solution thus offering the technological advantage for the benefit of Indian Merchants and POS acquirers.

MRL PoSNET's Bangalore based POS Centre of Excellence developed this solution - SecureNET - providing a critical and timely value-add for both Merchants and Acquirers. SecureNET gives the merchant flexibility by allowing them to transact using any open network infrastructure. The solution is agnostic to both communication mediums as well as telecom or broadband service providers. For merchants on dial-up connection, this solution offers an array of high speed communication options at a fraction of the cost that they would otherwise have to pay on similar solutions.

Developed on Ingenico platform, this solution encrypts the entire transaction packet from the POS all the way to the Switch using 3DES encryption as well as Visa recommended best practices for key generation, storage, transportation and injection.
