How to Install and Configure AWS for WordPress Podcast Plugin?

Podcasting isn’t new, it helps to create audio posts as well as translate your written content into other languages. It enhances the experience of your visitors, they get a choice to listen to your content, rather than reading it.

According to research, 65% of the population prefer video content over written content. On the other hand, podcasts have witnessed a 37.5% growth from in the last three years. So, it's better to join the league today, but how! There are two steps –

First step:

List your requirements and look for a perfect plugin. Multiple plugins with several features, you can choose the best WordPress Podcast Plugin that suits to your requirements. Once selected install and configure that to your website.

Second step:

Once you have chosen a plugin for your website, you can install and configure that. We have chosen “AWS for WordPress” for the demo purpose.

How to install AWS for WordPress plugin?

You can install the plugin in two ways –

1. Download from WordPress.org

Step 1: Go to the official WordPress website

Step 2: Click on Plugin

Step 3: You can see a search box enter the plugin name ‘AWS for WordPress’ and click on search

Step 4: Click on the first link and then click on the download button, save the file on your PC.

Step 5: Now go to your WordPress backend, and hover the mouse on ‘Plugins’

Step 6: You will see the ‘add new’ option, click on that.

Step 7: At the top of the page you will see the ‘upload plugin’ button, click on the button, then you will see an option to ‘Choose File’. When you will click on the button, it will give you the option to choose the downloaded WordPress file. And at the last, click on the ‘Install’ button.

2. Add directly

Step 1: Log in to your website backend, hover your mouse to ‘Plugins’ and click on ‘Add New’.

Step 2: Now at the top right, you can see the ‘Search plugin’ box, type in the name of the plugin and click enter. The page will come up with search results.

Step 3: Check the plugin you were looking for, next to it, you can see the “Install now” button, click on the button.

Step 4: The installation of the plugin will begin in a moment.

How to Activate and configure AWS for WordPress plugin?

Once the plugin is installed, simply click on the ‘Activate’ button. The plugin will be added to your site now you need to configure it. In the navigation pane, you can see the plugin, when you will hover the mouse on it, you would get multiple options including General, text-to-speech, translate, etc.

Step 1: Click on General, there you would find three options,

• AWS access key (Required only if you aren't using IAM roles)

• AWS secret key (Required only if you aren't using IAM roles)

• AWS Region

Step 2: Once you will enter the access and secrete key, then you will be able to configure the rest of the options.
